Turned up to Eastney (Hayling Ferry) in the morning, but didn't end up sailing there. Faffed on the beach for a good 1/2hr watching Jem Hall sailing, but the general advice was that it wasn't that much fun. I needed to head West during the day anyway, so thought I'd check out some spots in that direction rather than following everyone to Esso Beach. NOT a good move!! (no-where seemed to be working at all).

Eventually I headed back, chores over, and sailed at Hayling Northney from about 4pm. About 3 others out, but the wind was seriously all-or-nothing, and my biggest sail was a 5.4m... (others on 7m). Fun planing in the gusts, but a lot of blobbing around otherwise. Nice to have no crowds though!

Finished the day with a total spaz moment sailing too close to the shore and hitting a big concrete block. Chunk out of the fin and a nice big chip out of the rail.. b*gger. I stepped off and looked at the block in disgust, and a bloody big seal stuck his head up right next to me, gave me a "what the hell are you doing here" look for a few seconds, and then disappeared! Funny!
